After neglecting my blog for 4 months since July..
I actually have time to update

Nah~
It's not like I didn't have anything to write about.
As a matter of fact, this year my life's been more outgoing than it ever was.
Its actually kinda weird that when i DIDNT have anything to blog about, i blogged the most and when i am full of activities worth blogging.. Im lazy..oh the irony of it all.

First off there was
The Sunset Cruise organized by the Form6 Board

Where i had the worst time in my life.. nono.. not coz the thing was bad
But more of my seasickness attack during the whole trip.
Actually I'm not really prone to motion sickess, I've traveled longer and further by ferry from Labuan to KK before and I didnt really have a problem back then

The trip brought us to Pulau Manukan after sailing towards the sunset at around 6pm to rest and unwind and later we had a barbeque dinner. The problem with motion sickness is that you can't really enjoy the food.. no less fried rice with seafood in it making me feel sicker.
The only remedy was stuffing myself with cooling Watermelon eventhough i usually don't like to eat it. It really did kinda calmed my insides a little

And after that there was my first Merdeka Celebration

We went to CoffeeBean to have a Merdeka yimcha and to wait for 12am
That night, we headed to Sutera Harbour to watch the fireworks at midnite, but just as everyone else who went there in hopes of watching the show, the security personnel there told us the compound was closed to outsiders so we followed the other cars to the end of Sutera near the private estate area where many people gathered and waited.

It was a magnificent sight lasting around 10minutes, wave after wave of fireworks lightening the midnight sky overhead of us. Well I heard the view at Jesselton Point had a clearer view.So after the fireworks display, we went to Tanjung aru beach and just hung out until it was 1.30am before we headed back.

And not forgetting our trip to the new Lok Kawi Zoo which is around 5 minutes from my house only.

We did that during the October school holidays. One of the best places in the Park was the Nature Park. Skeptical at first, i thought who would wanna go to the Wildlife Reserve to see plants, but it was there that we unknowingly trekked through the whole hill path on the narrow little path provided. The view at the top of the canopy was nice, a small hut situated high on the slope overlooking the whole jungle

And lastly was our school's Prom Night at Promenade Hotel on the 1st of November

So yesterday was my dear friend, Zinlu's Birthday
But before that, Noel, Potriyan, JJ, Elson and I went to watch The Hitman at Growball Cinema.
The Hitman was nice, a fast paced triller with merciless killings done with swift cool exaggerated maneuvers which makes it one damn fine movie.. not forgetting the unforgettable phrase "Undress me" which my friends kept repeating.

During the movie, at one of the juicy bits since most of it is censored, there was 1 second where there was a bit(as in 1 second) and somebody exclaimed loudly " Nampak sudah!!" which was damn funny at that moment.

Later we went to shoot some snooker at Growball 8th floor.

After that Laura joined us and they went around looking for gifts for my friend.

Spent most of the time outside the corridors of Something Different while they looked for gifts.

At around 7pm, the birthday girl arrived so we headed over to Warisan Square to meet up with her. We had dinner at Wong Kok's Char Chan Teng where they had a special promotion for people celebrating their birthday; a bucket size cup of Stocking Tea.. probably 1 gallon.

While we distracted the birthday girl, the partners-in-crime Noel and Laura went to buy a cake for her at Secret Recipe

After dinner around 9.15pm, we walked around Warisan Square. It was decorated with Christmas Season decorations liao.

One funny moment was when we paid 50cents to use the toilet..and found out there was a sensor tissue dispenser. So we played with it..haha..
just flash your hands across the sensor and tissue comes out.

So later we headed across the street to Waterfront and just walked along the board walk planning our next step.

Around 10.15pm, we decided to go back since centre point was closing
And so, we headed back into a dimly lit, deserted Centre Point with all the shops closed and no one left there. At first, we tried to get to the car via Palm Square.
But once we reached there, the doors were already locked. So we headed back down stairs because i remembered you could go through the elevator going to Growball. But the shutters were already locked too. There was no way from the ground floor to City Parade.

So we asked the guard there, he said take one of the maintenance elevators to get to the parking. So we tried that, we ended up locked in again.
So after walking around for 20minutes with no way to the car. I recalled an old experience where I was locked in Centre Point too.

So we tried the only way which is through the Car Park Entrance from the outside of CP.
Walked up through the entrance and reach the car park finally. So we ran for the car after reaching the 5th floor and drove off safely.

Haha.. after sending everyone home, a few of us left in the car tapau some Yoyo because it closes at 11pm and drank in the car. It was a very fun day albeit leaving me broke for now.

Memo# 39 : Interact Installation Night

UPDATE!!!!

Finally after 1 month, I reason being i was busy with homework and the second reason because the internet speed was so slow i couldn't even load blogger to log in.

After planning Interact Installation Night for 2 weeks, yesterday was successful to say the least.
Firstly, there was a major turnout when initially ticket sales were low. I think all 100 seats were occupied. Thanks to 5 Rigel for the biggest turnout and showing the most support.

Secondly, the theme being Oscar Night, participants were encouraged to wear suits and tuxedos. But being pessimistic, I thought there would only be a few Form6 wearing a suit that night.
Surprisingly, almost everybody turned up in a suit. Only 2 or 3 people wore jeans that night.

The Interact Installation Night is when The new Board Members are installed by the old board members of the interact Club.

Since we being the New Board members, couldn't really sit and enjoy the whole night while the formal part of the evening was still going on.

The biggest problem by far would be the music deejaying, because most of the time we needed to tell the guy manning the P.A. to start the music. The schedule didn't really help because the whole night was in chaos. Everything that we planned had to be spontaneously modified to suit the timing. Nothing went according to schedule

It started later than intended to we had to go straight to dinner after the speeches.

There was supposed to be games before dinner but since everybody was hungry we had top cut straight to dinner.

Later the band, Bread and Jam by Jude and Mark entertained the crowd by playing acoustic.

The games were at the end after the Installation of the new board members at 9.30
I really thought that was the end and really nothing to do.
The party was supposed to end at 10.30 but at 9.30 almost everything had been done except for the Best Dressed Award.

It looked like people would leave and that would be it.
Sean came with his I.S friends and so did Tim and Stella.

But they actually got the dance floor going. The music was...not consistent..
People started enjoying themselves on the dance floor anyway.
There was even a dance battle between Emrys of 5Rigel against Dalton of U6S..
It was amazing seeing them dance.

The whole thing went all the way to 11pm which was the limit by the management.

All in all it was s successful event hosted by the new board members of Interact Club.
Full turnout and majority followed the dress code.

Autobots Roll Out!!!!!!!!

After church went to watch Transformers with Kimmy and Daryl.
At first I was feeling lazy to go, but a higher power told me to go watch.

I was at church and the priest was talking bout Jesus and telling people about sacrifice with worldly attachments if they intended to follow God. They must leave everything behind and follow Jesus.
So Bishop Lee was talking about "transform us" and he repeated it like more than 10 times.
So later I got the hint, transform us...transform us...TRANSFORMERS!!!!!!!!!

So after mass I told Daryl and we planned to watch Transformers...
yeah...God loves us...

I went to Merdeka today because my mom wanted to change to a new pair of frames.
Haha...got her to buy Zero X ... sooooooo NOT my mom's normal usual style but very modern and cool.

After my parents went off to send my brother to watch Transformers for the 1.30pm show at Cathay, I waited for Kim n Daryl cause our movie was at 2.45pm

Transformers

Another summer blockbuster but by Michael Bay infamous for Pearl Harbour, Fantastic Four and other stuff I can't remember.
So the story starts out with a giant Cube-like object falling onto Earth.
The soldiers at Qatar are returning back to base and Sergeant Lennox and his group arrive only to be attack late at night by a Copter Unit that was reported to have fallen..which turns out to be an evil destructive robot!!! And that's only just the starting!!
Transformers is filled with everything a guy would love which are eye-candy,cool cars,Hummers, trucks , fighter jets,giant scorpion robots, handphones that come to life, humour,
and most important DESTRUCTION!!!!!!!
The way the robots are transformed do confuse me because I don't really know where fits in where and sometimes the camera angles done by Bay leaves me with a headache. I do agree with other bloggers that the story was more towards the humans than the Giant Robots that ARE the main stars of the show.

Yet the story never gets boring and there aren't many long conversations where you can sneak in the washroom awhile after drinking too much Cola and missing just 1 minute will leave you with many question marks.
When robots fight, Chaos ensues. The best by far is still Bumblebee(old junk Chevrolet Camaro) throwing Witwicky(Shia) out of the car and driving off and replicating the new Chevrolet Sportscar and picking them back up.

I have no idea what the purpose of the spectacles were in the end because it didn't really matter due to the fact that the Cube(AllSpark) was in the hands of Sector 7.

I personally think the city scene was a bit confusing with everything moving at a fast pace and weird camera angles..

But all in all i really like the whole movie...coz well..what's there NOT to like
I give this movie a 10/10 hahaha coz I am a guy and I grew up with Transformers!!!

Memo# 36 : Court or Courting

As I know I'm not very good in public speaking
Thus i have remained often quiet in front of new people.
Yet just sometimes people take it that acquiring a minimum level of speaking English justifies me actually being competent in English. I know joining these competitions would only boost my confidence and help me in the long run

What I'm talking about is the Mock Trial. This is not to be confused with Mooting for mooting is the process of appeal in court while the mock trial is somewhat like an actual trial with witnesses, cross examining, lawyers and hard hitting questions.

Too bad the Mock Trial Final between AllSaints and Tsung Tsin was more like a mockery of the justice system. Not to be too heavily critical of their performance for it was a good and interesting trial. Only some parts it wasn't as smooth as it should have been.

Most witnesses accounts are said with inaccurate or inconsistent testimonies while the judge being a little easier with them, a real serious trail would have the lawyers apologizing frantically to the judge while he swears and throws their submission onto the floor and questioning the competence of the lawyers

Josh was getting emotional ..hahaha.... with the teams as he watched from a far not being in the finals. He would have been had more concentration if they had made it to the finals.
From what I heard La Salle presented and won the case against All Saints in the preliminary
round but lost on performance because it is a team effort where the witnesses from both teams are judged.

All Saints won in the end and the proceedings lasted from 9.30a.m. to 1.00p.m.
Picked up Potriyan at Centre Point and sent the teacher back to school.
Later dropped by at the Boarding House to change and even had lunch there.
Eunice didn't follow after that so it was me,pot and laura to go and check out venues for Interact Installation Nite and Prom Night.

Shangrila Tanjung Aru Resort should be sending me the quotations tomorrow and the other places we checked were all closed in the particular department so have to call back.
I am aiming for STAR or Promenade even though it could be expensive...the venue for me is the most important.

I have too many responsibilities in Form6 but am not bored at any 1 moment

Memo# 35 : Moving On

My friends are leaving to further their studies and *smacks head* i just went back to my school of 5 years...
Though my decision is totally is up to my discretion, i can't help but wonder what would have become if i went to melaka

Friday nite was the farewell party of Louise Chin and Glenngary from the choir
We had dinner at Warisan Square but only had Yogur Berry

That place is so expensive for yogurt that they didn't spell it with a "T"
Maybe someone stole the "T" from "Yogur" so they jacked up the prices to compensate losses

Not many people, just a small gathering, most of my friends are leaving choir and moving on.
I was supposed to join them but remained. God will find a way...i hope

So the gathering was quiet and I met an old pal there, Adrian who now works at Fish & Co

Good luck to my friends who are pursuing their dreams.

Memo# 33 : Crap,Scrap, Frap

i finally have internet access in this place though can't really use long.
It's already been a month since i came to Labuan Matriculation College and this blog has been rotting away.

There's actually no WiFi around the campus so it is futile to bring a laptop. Even if you do, you are asking for trouble..coz unlike Curtin where a laptop per student, here its a laptop within 200 students.

The library does have internet access, there are around 30 computers here of which only 16 have internet access. And that's to accommodate 2500 students!!!

It's normal to bath halfway and see the water running out. So just wrap the towel and walk down from the 3rd floor to the other block just to continue your shower coz the whole block would be out of water.

Entertainment revolves around going to the library and reading. Seriously!!
Or maybe playing some outdoor sport like football or basketball(which is available at any school)

The lectures are ok albeit some lecturers being lazy as a donkey to teach anything except reading word by word from the projector slide.

Tutorial classes in 20 minutes..lol..

That's why I decided to hold a Reunion party
I'm lazy to type a lot coz I will be leaving KK tomorrow morning when the chicken crows.
The rest of them got there before 7pm to play DotA so I told them to get a place first for 10
They still couldn't get seats when I arrived at 7.15pm

There was a Fireworks display at the City Square in conjunction withn Kaamatan
Kwong drove the Automatic kancil for the first time. It was...err..scary

We headed to Yoyo to have a nightcap before everyone left around 10.30pm

Memo# 31 : KL Experience - Bangi: The Final Journey

I embarked on my journey to discover my soul 1 month ago starting from the Kota Kinabalu Low Cost Carrier Terminal. Though I have yet to discover anything,

In my 4th week here in Semenanjung, I travelled to Bangi after staying 3 weeks in Sentul.
The place is around an hours drive from Kuala Lumpur.
Here in Bangi, I went to visit the National University of Malaysia.
The place is newer than the Malaya University and is built within a protected jungle (according to my friend lah)
There's even a lake there.
The place is more like a park than a University after you get deeper and deeper in, most of the other faculties are on top of hills and tiring to go by on foot. As an example, I took the journey on foot to fully experience the campus than just taking a bus up because the Law Faculty is at the very end of the campus.
The wildlife there is aplenty, with monkeys ...BIG monkeys hanging out and monitor lizards(biawak) and also a flowing stream full of fishes
We headed to the Law Library after the tedious journey there to rest and cool down.
It was empy due to the term holidays so it was more quiet.
Just went there to read some newspaper.
After that I went to search for my answers.
The Vice Registration Officer was where I was going to get it.
So she said that she didn't even know about the change of policy in Malaya University, that they were only accepting STPM students now. So far UKM still accepts matriculation and foundation in law UiTM to pursue careers in Law. But I'm not to sure of when they would change the policy
That sure gave assurance that going to matriculation would still give me a chance to chase my dream. So far I failed to get a place with UPU into IPTA (Local Public Institutions) , but considering my lousy grades, I didn't expect much. Even someone with 12As albeit being Chinese can't get it..what lagi me
I have only 3 options left; Go matriculation or go into a private University or take STPM
For sure STPM is the safest route albeit being the longest while matriculation being the fastest but not sure whether it can further my dreams and private being the most expensive option.
It is confirmed though that I will be taking matriculation starting from next week. I still haven't even have time to rest. Tomorrow is my flight to KK
Later we decided to head down to the Canselori to check around.

The building looks very grand from the outside.
Inside was interconnected with a lot of faculties that walking inside felt like going through a castle. With stone walls, large empty corridors and many passages, the University is indeed very grand

There's even a courtroom inside!
But we had to sneak in, people aren't allowed in unless there's a teacher present.
Of course the lights everything was off, so we went in to just look around

It was getting late, and haven't even eat dinner yet.
Luckily there was a night market, just tapau some Nasi Ayam and eat at home.

At 10pm, went down to town to eat some supper cause earlier on I saw a Pizza Shop there.
It was only RM9.80 for a regular size one. It was a frozen pizza, so I thought it would be too hard and chewy
But the pizza was nice..crunchy and not too hard with tomato sauce and mayonnaise .

Memo# 30 : KL Jam Obsession

Interesting :I think one day people will be crazy enough to treat West Malaysia as the Scourge and East Malaysia as Sentinel and start to "spawn" Treants - Sarawak trees and Ghouls and send them to "enemy base" to fight.... The objective of Sentinel is to protect the "World Tree" in Mount Kinabalu while the objective of Scourge is to protect KLCC "Frozen Tower"? maybe they will dress like their beloved Hero and start to fight each other just to become beyond godlike? RoFL~! OWNING!

Obviously KLites have a great like for jam. At first I thought they only loved traffic-flavoured jam, but they have a wide variety to choose from.

Today I left the apartment at 10.30am to 1Utama(New Wing) to catch Spiderman 3. My sister told me better to watch an earlier movie because it was less hassle.
I didn't really understand what was going on in the beginning.

So reached there at around 11.15am and went straight to GSC 1U and there was a long line.

that's how long the line was and the movie starts at 12pm
There were probably around 40+ people there at 11am!!!! You can't find jam like that in KK
So after waiting in line for around half an hour, we finally were at the last line.
The only problem was it was Selling Fast and the time was 11.54am so we thought the seats would be scattered around.

Call it blessing from God or good luck, they released the reserved seats when we finally reached the ticket counter. So all the good seats at the centre of the auditorium were vacant. Prime seats man!!! PRIME!!!

Went upstairs to the auditorium.. the toilet also had a jam =.=
Wanted to get some food but the upstairs Popcorn shop was closed

The auditorium is 100x better than KK Cinemas!!! The seats are wide and has neck support plus it doesn't wobble and the side is cushioned. The ceiling is high to create a comfy and not stuffy atmosphere plus the advertisements before screening is better than Mega Pavilion in KK that plays 80' Malay rock music

We just decided to go downstairs to get some food before the show started and the Popcorn shop upstairs was just open. Another stroke of luck so no need to go downstairs.

Spider Man 3

-The Greatest Battle Lies Within-

After reading so many critics of this movie, I totally DISAGREE with EVERYBODY on this show.
Everyone commented that there was too much put inside. That there were too many characters in the show and not enough character development.
I find the show elegantly paced because after so much that happened, it was still the first hour.
The beginning mainly explained on the situation Parker/Spiderman was in. After years of fighting bad press, New York City finally acknowledges his good deeds and celebrate him as a hero. It shows the relationship between Parker and M.J through the first hour.
Even Marco Flint a.k.a the Sandman is elaborated showing a more human side to the villains just like part 2 where they showed Dr. Octopus in a human light.

It is only after M.J denied Parker that he truly embraced the alien symbiote and chose Power over Love. When Parker goes into emo mode, he is seen with darker hair. He lets his hair down covering his forehead unlike his usual comb up. Through this alien creature, his aggression, power, agility and coolness/lameness increases. The coolness is when he buys a new suit and takes Gwen on a date and dances. The lameness is his stupid dancing skills on the street to catch the ladies attention, who find him appalling.

It is only after Parker rejects the alien symbiote that it takes host in Eddie Brock( Gwen's ex-boyfriend) Here is where Venom works together with Sandman to get their revenge.

The cool part starts when they kidnap M.J and openly challenge Spiderman to a duel in the middle of the city. Sandman is seen towering a few stories stronger and more dangerous.
Parker and Harry Osbourne(the green goblin) team up to save M.J while having a tagteam match up.

I personally think this movie out performs 300 and is the best blockbuster I've ever seen.
Though there are more characters, it is not that hard to concentrate on the story being told.
Oh,there's even a cameo appearance by Stan Lee

The fighting part is the best. I personally give it a 10/10 for Spider Man 3
I hope this is not the last installment.

I even saw an old acquaintance from La Salle who was in KL! Simeon from 5 Rigel taking Pilot course. So at 4pm went back home

Today is the last day here in Sentul. I'm going to Bangi to a place I never been before with no family. After 3 weeks here, I'm so used to the room that it feels like home for me.

Can't believe it's almost a month in KL already coz' it sure passed by so fast.
It looks like all my options are dead for I am left with only 1 pathway with is through the matriculation program.
I really hope the website to check my application for UPU is updated quickly because it still says IC with starting with year 88.
I leave tomorrow on the final week of my journey in my soul searching, which I have found out nothing. I just hope where I'm going has internet.

I receive a weird SMS today from someone I haven't heard from in a couple of months.
Catching me completely by surprise, I thought the sun was knocked off balance creating confusion among the normal Earth dwellers and we were being invaded by hellspawn

For the subject of the message was only someone completely neurotic could understand.
I warn you dear readers-consisting of the two of you- to not be drinking any liquids at the moment for what you are about to read may shock and leave you dumbfounded.

From what I can tell, hell uses a completely different language from what we Earth dwellers use.

Went for dinner at the Victoria Station Restaurant, Damansara in the evening.
I haven't been there since the last time I came to KL which was 2years ago.
Back then I had financial support so I ordered the Phoenix Dragon Cuisine ( lobster and chicken)
for RM45
The food there to say the least is - costly
So since I'm financial unwell, had to spend within a limit
The restaurant has a train station backdrop and was featured on The Star a while ago and it's said that the owner went around the world looking for the decorations.
The lighting and setting reminds you of a mid-1800's British railway station.
There's even a real train set inside the place but the seating is stuffy.So a booth would do.
The variety there is a bit wider than in KK.
So I just played with the camera while waiting for my food

Memo# 27 : The KL Experience?

Ever heard of P.W.T.C.? It stands for Putra World Trade Centre where traders go there to hold exhibitions. It was even the venue for Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) ke-14, 2007 on the 28th of April which happens to be be today.

I got up at 10.00am just to walk there to see a bookfair. My sis said something about experiencing KL by foot. One thing I seem to notice is Sentul has a lot of motorbike shops. I think there were over 10 shops I passed through, but considering it's a cheaper alternative to a car yet still KK doesn't seem to have a lot of them.
The journey in the morning *mind you KL at 10 is like KK at 9* was not very humid though the sun was already high up. The weather was cool and breezy and not dry.
We took a wrong detour an ended up taking the long way to PWTC but it was the scenic route we took. The pictures tell most of the story for one point I actually crossed a bridge across a rapid albeit muddy water in the middle of KL!

Unlike stagnant drains in KK, they built an embankment along the river banks and left the river naturally flowing. The ancient MIC building was next to the river and overlooking is the UMNO building.
When we got there, it was crowded with people all going to the book exhibition. It featured mostly from Malaysian publications and God knows some unknown hip magazine.
Went to see the children's section upstairs on the 2nd floor consisting of books mainly from Sasbadi,Sarjana, Pelangi and others.Stopped at the Noddy books corner where they quickly summoned an Indian "teacher" to talk to us
He went on an introduced himself and talked about the benefits of showing this cartoon to kids to promote brain development. It was a bilingual edition in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Consisting of over 10 books with teaching references and VCD, it so calls gives kids a better grasp of the national language. He said he is teaching is child,age 4, 4 languages (Bahasa Malaysia, English, Tamil, Chinese) and that he doesn't force his child but only to have fun. His famous statement and I quote :

"Do NOT teach your child alphabets"

I was dumbfounded he had the audacity to say that. He said it would only confuse the child as to reading the correct way because Bahasa and English is different in pronunciation

So we left and went around looking again and found another place that sold educational kid videos..price? RM10
We could get 200 of those CDs without getting the Noddy set.
It was already 1.30pm around that time and it was getting hotter. So walked all the way back through another way back to the apartments.

Memo# 26 : Why is the Rum Gone?

I got my butt out of bed at 7am this morning. Hardly a normal thing to do for a nocturnal person like me to do considering I wake up at noon everyday since I came to KL.

Such an important matter would not be taken as a triviality. My recalcitrance with my sleeping habits must change.......
........................in College.

The main reason for the disturbance in my sleep pattern is due to my long awaited visit to Malaysia's oldest University: University Malaya.

I had been planning to visit the Law Faculty ever since I planned my trip to KL earlier this month. Part of my reason for coming here was to see the University and view the possible options to enter Law stream to fulfill my destiny.

Left around 9 o'clock because knowing government servants, they punch in at 8.30am and go off to drink coffee at 9.30am until 1 hour before work ends to punch out.
I thought it would be filled with students when i reached there, but it seems they are having a holiday for all i saw was empty corridors and vacant parking lots. The campus itself is vast and surrounded by hills and trees.

Went to the office on the first floor to ask some questions. The staff there were helpful and provided relevant information. I found some out not-so-hopeful things about the entry requirements into U.M. Law

STPM - 2 Principles
Diploma

I'm screwed!!! They don't accept the Centralized Matriculation Program
nor
Asasi Sains(Foundation in Life/Physical Science) UM
nor
Asasi Undang-undang(Foundation in Law) UiTM

It's either waste 4 semester(2years) in STPM or 3 years taking a Diploma course.

Well at least I know U.M Law doesn't take in ~~lousy~~ less qualified students from matriculation because everyone knows the quality of matriculation students are not on par with students from STPM

After that, drove around campus checking out the other faculties in the vicinity. The Law Faculty is newer compared to the others like Architecture or Engineering Faculty.
Rumour has it that there used to be a floating pub at the centre of the lake(yes..there's a lake on campus) previously before the nation became zealous.

Later I went to see the Campus Asasi Sains a few minutes drive away. It looked really sucky and resembles a typical national middle school with low ceilings and a weird smell.
Asked the lady at the office about the Official Release Date for the UPU(Unit Pusat University) Results (Tarikh pengumuman Keputusan UPU 2007)

The clerk said it will be out on the 5th Of May (next saturday) online through their websites.

Took a picture of the lecture hall. The KL bus goes through the campus so getting in and out is simple. It is located near the heartland of the city so it isn't really a question on where to go but what to do.
On the way to the car park, I saw this old looking Mitsubishi sportscar..
I was thinking.. "Hmm..I've never seen this model before"

By that time I was starting to get to get hungry so we left UM and went to Bangsar Village first to shop for some groceries for dinner.

At the entrance, one shop selling funny t-shirts caught my attention.
It was a bit pricey though,for a white shirt with funny designs but probably only ironed on costs around RM30 per shirt.
The funniest one I saw was with the AM Bank group on it:

All I have with me is Microsoft Paint ....so don't mock me!!

After getting the groceries, went to Bangsar 雲南咖啡店 Yun Nan Coffee Shop to try the famous Hong Kong Fish Paste with vermicelli (mee hun)
The fish balls there are made from real fish without much of starch that modern machine processed fishballs taste like. For only RM3.50 a bowl, it's very tasty.

I ordered Wantan Mee cos' I didn't feel like eating soup. I still think Kuching Kolo Mee is the best. KL Wantan Mee uses too much kicap so it's thick and salty. The Kuching variety uses sesame oil and tastes lighter than it's KL counterpart. I think I'll go back to the place I went in Sentul to re-review the Konlo Pan Mee I went to on Thursday because it was nice and I like the dimsum there though KK still IS the best
On the way out, a trailer was blocking our car.
Someone's BMW was smashed on the front bumper.. hangkang such an expensive car.

I will be going U.K.M next week to ask around about the Law Course's requirements.
If not then I'll just do an external degree.

Malaysian government sets up Internet spin team

To counter all those Internet lies

MALAYSIA'S INFORMATION ministry is so miffed that people are going on the web and telling porkies about its glorious government that it has hired a team of spinners just to deal with it.
The crack team of spinners will cast an eagle eye on whatever is being said about Malaysia online. If it sees something that the government will not like it will swoop. Deputy Information Minister Chia Kwang Chye said the team will be in and out with a press release in seconds in a bid to tackle what he said was "abuse" of the Internet and online technology.
Chia told the Bernama news agency the spinners will be purely working to disseminate information, explain correct information and counter the misinformation on government policies.
There is currently a bit of a barny going on online, between the Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Malaysian bloggers and other Internet users. He says they are spreading slander and gossip, they say he is... not a very good PM. Miffing a Malaysian PM is apparently enough for the entire government to talk about punishment and tighter controls on Internet use in response.
Already two bloggers are also being sued for defamation by the government-linked New Straits Times Press group in an action identified as a government crack-down on freedom of expression.
Fortunately, the new unit will not have the power to arrest bloggers the PR people don't like. There is nothing more evil than a PR who has the power to lock up a reporter who fails to print their press release. Well, other than a reporter who never questions what a company says.

It has members going into Internet forums and blogs to rebut anti-establishment views and putting up postings anonymously.

Sources told The Straits Times the initiative is driven by two sub-committees of the PAP's 'new media' committee chaired by Manpower Minister Ng Eng Hen.

One sub-committee, co-headed by Minister of State (Education) Lui Tuck Yew and Hong Kah GRC MP Zaqy Mohamad, strategises the campaign.

The other is led by Tanjong Pagar GRC MP Baey Yam Keng and Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC MP Josephine Teo. Called the 'new media capabilities group', it executes the strategies.

Both were set up after last year's General Election. Aside from politicians, some 20 IT-savvy party activists are also involved.

When contacted, Mr Baey declined to give details of the group's activities, but he outlined the broad principles of the initiative.

It was necessary for the PAP to have a voice in cyberspace as there were few in the online community who were pro-establishment, he said.

As such, the committees aim to 'observe how new media is developing and see how we can use the new media as part of the overall media landscape', he added.

'How do we facilitate views that are pro-party and propagate them through the Internet?'

The approach reflects comments by Rear-Admiral (NS) Lui at the PAP's party conference in December. He called on younger activists to put up views 'to moderate the vitriol and balance the skewed comments' on the Internet.

But this can only work if activists are not 'too obvious' about it, Mr Baey said yesterday. Otherwise it comes across as 'propaganda'.

'The identity is not important. It is the message that is important,' he added.

One activist who is involved said that when posting comments on online forums and the feedback boxes of blogs, he does not identify himself as a PAP member.

He tracks popular blogs and forums to 'see if there is anything we can clarify' on hot-button topics such as the impending hike in the Goods and Services Tax.

But he added: 'We don't rebut everything. Sometimes, what is said is fair enough, and we send the feedback on to the committee.'

This latest initiative comes on top of a blog site with posts by 12 MPs born after Singapore's Independence in 1965.

It recognises that more younger Singaporeans are relying on the new media as a main source of information.

An Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) study conducted last year found that younger and better-educated Singaporeans relied on information from the Internet when shaping their voting choices at the last GE.

Among the opposition parties, members and supporters of the Workers' Party, in particular, post regularly on forums online.

But IPS senior research fellow Tan Tarn How wonders about the effectiveness of the PAP's campaign.

He said Internet users who post on forums such as Sammyboy tend not to be interested in 'intellectual debate' and so will not be persuaded by PAP activists anyway.

As for more serious-minded bloggers, he said the views that the activists may put out are already available in the mainstream media.

I see a trend here. The Establishments are sending out their spies to check up on forums and blogs to counter criticism of the government. Now why didn't THEY think of this in the 80' ?
Of course back then the internet wasn't established yet and blogs were but a thing of the future. But people still used to gossip and slander in local kopitiams while playing Chinese Chess in the jalan kaki 5.

If they had used a similar strategy back then, old Ah-Peks who were spying for the government would have went to the pasar..sat down and played Chinese Chess with the neighbourhood ah-peks to get the low down on the real feelings of the constituents while mailing their (remember back then there were no handphones) feedbacks to their masters.

But this begs the question: Who funds these spinners?
I know it won't be them. They are too selfish to take money out from their own pockets..so most probably it would come from taxes...what?..no you say?..they work for free?? no malaysian would work for free..that's a fact.
Look at the Mat Rempits..they proposed to pay them RM50 for each snatch-thief they catch..but the ironic thing is they ARE the snatch thieves.
Sorry..back to my point

We, Malaysians would broadcast the government views through our pro-government media:RTM while Singaporeans would discreetly post up rebuttals online making for productive debate on dealing with the problem.

Malaysians are more headstrong when it comes to this issue. Some "official" would most probably wave his keris,say unemployed women are to blame for this and communist are behind this.

Ah ha..there's simple logic behind these disappointed feelings that the people are currently feeling that high end officials can't seem to figure out.

Memo# 24 : Midvalley Madness

It was a rainy day yesterday. The thunder struck so loud that it caused a resonance in my stomach and made me hungry =.=" How ironic..
I was stuck home the whole week with nothing but my dearest by my side accompanying me through the hardest of times.

Today I planned a trip to Midvalley Megamall with my best friend whom i haven't seen in half a year since Christmas.He really hasn't changed a bit even to the extent that his youthful exuberance exceeds even mine..in other words..he hasn't matured yet..keke

My whole purpose is to help him find a suitable birthday gift for his roommate and friend.
Direction doesn't seem to be a guy's strong points. Trust me..when two guys go around a megamall 5 times bigger than Centre Point and STILL comes back to the same place 5 times..he's lost.

We went around the place so many times that I started to get familiar with everything in Midvalley liao. There is a North Court,East Court,West Court and South Court all connected by the Centre Court. Time just didn't seem existent in that place..you can just walk around and feel like it's still the same time as when you came in the building.

There was a glass vase with real apples inside because when you glanced in you can actually smell the apples.
R.O.M.P has a lot of nice and decently priced clothes but too bad none fitted me. One place nice to find clothes I would recommend is TopMan next to TopShop (well..TopMan and Topshop is the same thing only women and men apparels but 2 distinctively different Signboards outside)
The clothes there are mostly British styled and boast an overwhelming selection of vests to stylish shirts and ties to hats. For people who don't know..think Justin Timberlake in My Love

Something weird we saw today.. the staff in Body Shop seemed to be dressed like fairies. I kid you not..all of them were wearing this purple blouse from head to toe with purple scarves and there were about 8 of them in a little corner shop.
Wanted to go somewhere to drink because of all the walking but ended up somewhere outside of the building..so went to Dunkin' Donuts to rest.
We were discussing girl stalkers until suddenly something about the correct pronunciation of Wikipedia occurred. I pointed out that his pronunciation was wrong for he pronounced it as
wai-kee-pee-dee-a while me as wee-kee-pee-dee-a
Suddenly, we were in a challenge..stood up and stormed off to MPH Bookstore to find a dictionary to confirm.

In MPH, we looked for the dictionary section. We are both intellectuals so when it comes to crap(passed on as knowledge), it is serious business.
It was the biggest bookstore I have ever seen ..in Malaysia..apart from the 3 story book store in Shanghai i went to. After looking all over for an answer, just decided to quit because no encyclopedia would print a website.. I got lost inside the vast library of knowledge for a while after looking high and low for A.R so I decided to call him. The only thing I saw as a landmark was World of Fengshui on a beam but to his shock..he thought i was on the 3rd Floor World of Fengshui shop.

We went around looking for birthday gifts in MPH and just thought of getting them birthday cards. I spent roughly 2 hours in MPH Bookstore gallivanting with nothing better to do.It's not like I sat there and read books..but mostly just joking around and finding gifts to get.
After 2 hours in MPH..thats what we got.

Is getting a File a good birthday gift? The special thing was just buying 2 sheets of paper and print out something special for the recipient. But we had to put the paper into something so just took a File to put the papers in. It turned out that the File itself that cost RM7 and was worth more than the gift which is 2 sheets of paper itself. Then had to get a birthday card which is RM5. It seems that the package to put the gift itself is more expensive than the gift itself. We were thinking "better just throw away the paper and give the File itself lar"

So what started out as 2 sheets of paper became 5 sheets,1 File and 1 Birthday card for RM18

After getting the gifts..being the Intellectuals we are..decided to do a "survey" on the customers there. Yes..it was simple survey with easy scores R- 1 ~10 and N

We were randomly walking around MPH looking left and right at girls and saying 5 or 7 so i dont think they noticed. We went around the whole store finding them..haha..it was a waste of time but fun though

Later after the MPH fiasco just went out to find a seat to rest and talk. While talking we would forget what we were talking about distracted by one of the MANY hot girls in Midvalley Megamall. I tell you Midvalley is filled with these nubile fair young girls in high fashion sense and sexy hairstyles that makes you feel like its heaven. KK is damned with pilaks by the railings but here is blessed with so many good looking girls. Sometimes we would just double back and try to find back the girl and be awed by her presence..haha

After paying for the stuff, it was close to 6.30pm and still haven't eaten dinner. Went all the way to Food Junction up on the 3rd floor to see see anything to eat or not..
Not satisfied so say wanna go The Chicken Rice shop coz i heard a lot about it on the radio.
Went down all the way to the ground floor and walked to The Chicken Rice Shop at the end..see the menu and say not worth it lar..ended up at the Laksa Shack instead.
Everything on the menu was pricey and the cheapest is RM7.90
A.R is a cheapskate so he ordered the cheapest drink which is .. R.O Water for RM2.90
If RM2.90 just for water..might as well take the cup too xD

I don't look at prices but just ordered. In the end I ordered Curry Laksa(which I thought was special because I mistakenly read the Curry as Cussy Laksa since the r looked more like an s)

Should be going to Bangi end of this month and stay a while with A.R to experience life there.
Oo..my day seems brighter already!!

I stumbled upon an article on The Star newspaper on Tuesday that caught my attention.

Add length to your arm
Named The QuikPod™ , it is somewhat of an arm extension for cameras.

Works just like a tripod, the user attaches the camera onto the QuikPod™..activates the self timer.. extend the rod and just smile!
This invention caters mostly to cam whores who indulge in pictures of themselves.
Gone are the days of preteen little Ah Lians taking weird angled pictures to make their eyes look bigger. With this nifty invention, ah lians all over can take decent pictures of themselves with the background since it gives an extra feet to take wider angles.

No more trusting strangers to hold your camera and take your picture. It is even small enough to keep inside your pocket or use a hiker's clip and clip it on your belt.

But wait..something that good would have a downside no? The first thing I thought when I saw the article was.. "the fall of skirts"
Just think about it for a moment.. horny little teenage boys can now take upskirt pictures of their favourite teachers in class without them even knowing.
If you thought the camera phone was bad..this is 10 times worse.

Just extend it under your table and take desired picture of forbidden place.
Skirts Beware!!!

All in all..it's a good invention if not abused. Like I said..there's always 2 sides to it's use. Just imagine taking a couple shot with better distance and quality than distorted pictures with large looking nose and awkward looking smile.

On another note.. the reputation for Ramli Burger precedes even those of us who lives in KK. It is reputed to be cooked in so much margerine that it tastes sooooo good.

I had to buy one albeit having dinner 20 minutes ago.
Costing at RM2..this Chicken Burger is delicious with sooo much sauce and onions.Smells tasty that I'm getting hungry just typing this ...

Memo# 22: My KL trip (1st week)

I finally have an Internet connection.Currently staying with my sis's family in Sentul.
I derno wat to write lerr.. do so much now kenot remember liao.
So on Saturday it was my first time to the new LCCT(Low Cost Carrier Terminal) and I say..its better than the other terminal.

This was my first time flying alone as in without any parents. It's very ma fan carrying 3 bags by my self (1 luggage, 1 laptop and 1 sling bag). Have to produce my IC so many times taking it out and in again while carrying 3 bags.

So later they were boarding the plane and I called Soo to know where is was.. that guy was still in Tanjung Aru Town having his breakfast while I was already boarding the plane. That guy dunno how to prioritise his schedule so I booked him a seat. He was the last to board the plane with his dad and the plane was not very full. Both of us took up 3 spaces while the girl on the other side took all 3 to herself. Since it was not packed I could lie down on the plane and it was rather the comfortable ride.
Yes..those are grapes. Finally after buying the book To Kill A Mocking Bird about 2 months in KLIA, I am reading it and i find it a very interesting book. It's not the usual kind of thriller book I would read but it is a book about a lawyer's kids which I'm not too sure what the plot is about. I finished about 5 chapters and still there's no story except them explaining about the people of the town they are from. Will get to reading it if I'm bored here.

Now Soo is a complete dumS. He left his handphone on during the flight and it still received SMS on board. He even got a CALL while in mid air. Luckily the stewardess didnt hear it..

After we landed, took the Central Bus from LCCT to KL Central. It was an hours drive from LCCT to KLCentral and I was getting hungry since the flight didn't have food.
1 rule i learnt here from my friend is that:
If you wanna go travelling, bring 2 jeans and 3 shirts. And buy the rest over there.
So the rest of the day i stayed at my sis's apartment after going to some Baby stuff warehouse sale.

On Sunday I screwed up a lot. Since Sunway and Sentul is the same distance as KK and Papar, it was difficult for me to meet my friends at Sunway Pyramid and later go back Sentul. I screwed up big time when I didnt plan my schedule properly. Went to eat the famous 辣椒板面 at Kin Kee Restaurant and it was packed that we had to wait 30minutes just for the food to arrive. So is Pan Mee RM4.80 cheap for you all or not? I dont really know the price of KK Pan Mee. After that went to Assumption Church near Sunway at 11am. Stupid Soo told me to go Sunway Pyramid at 11am but he only got up at 11!!! Around noon called Soo and he still had to go for breakfast then go back and bath..niamah..so went off to Carrefore to shop for some stuff. I tell you horr..if you live 45mins away from your rendezvous place..and it would be hard to go back later at night, the only way is to stay with them at their place and buy new clothes, toothbrush, unmentionables and towel at Carrefore at cheap prices.

Finally at 2pm the guys reached Sunway Pyramid so I headed there to meet them. Went around shopping and looking at stuff. Bought some Dunkin Donuts and sat outside Coffee Bean where the staff couldn't see us. Suddenly a Salesman approached us and asked whether he could sit with us. He was selling some kinda perfume by Gucci.

Dude said something about selling it off for mother's day because it was old stock and they will stop production because the new Envy Me 2 will be out. He said Duty free places like airports sell it for RM100 and he was offering RM50 as a student price. He even went as far as to show us the authenticity of the perfume by spraying it on the table and lighting it on fire as proof it is alcohol

Later myself and Soo went off while Joel and his cousin stayed at Coffee Bean. I had to find some change of clothes as I only have the shirt on my back to wear tomorrow since I didnt bring my luggage. By 4 we went around the whole Sunway Pyramid and decided to head to Subang SS15.

This place has 300 computers that "includes the most expensive Altec Lansing Woofers and Razer mouse" and a 5 Star interior. It probably is better than Damai CX. Called FT2 AsiA.net, even though it has 300 computers spanning 2 stories in its own building but still there was no space. Sadly we had to walk down a few blocks to find another cyber.

Scenario 1
We walked into the first cyber cafe we see while walking down the street.
Look at the screen and see there's still space. So they find seats and sat down.
"Hmm..something's missing" said Soo..
*look around and finds mouse on top of the CPU*..

*Click Start Menu and look for games*
"Hmmm...something's missing" Soo said again..

dude!! There's NO DOTA!!!
*looks behind and sees no one playing DotA*
*walks out of shop quickly*

They dont charge people for using it in 2 minutes .

So after playing DotA at another Cyber Cafe WITH DotA, we went to the Food Centre in between FT2 AsiA.net and a recreational building. It was on a deck with a Projector Screen behind playing music.

The Western Food there is cheap and delicious..Bought the Roast Chicken for only RM8.50 with coleslow and rice.

The only problem is the damn flies. It's everywhere and most of the time I'm trying to eat and the flies land on my cup and on the straw. One hand I'm cutting my chicken chop and on the other hand I'm swatting flies. =.="

Joel left early so that left me waiting for Soo's dad to come and fetch us.
We went up to the Recreational Building to play some foosball .The 1st Floor is filled with Snooker Tables while the 2nd floor is Foosball and Snooker.It costs RM2 per game with 11 balls.
That was my first time playing foosball. It's damn fun and addictive. Normally 2 on each team would play and you put the ball in the centre and kick off. There's where you must know how to multitask.One hand guarding the goal post and the other hand controlling the ball. It was so fun that we played a couple of times. I accidentally own-goaled a few times that I lost. I'm getting on of those machines when I'm in college man!
After that went to FT2 AsiA.net for a while coz Soo's dad not yet arrive. Played a bit of BattleField 2 for 45 minutes. It's great and spacious. The Taylor College Students really untung lerr..since they are situated a few minutes from that place. Good Food, Good Games and Lots of Flies..who could ask for More.
At night went back to Soo's Uncle's Apartment but the whole place had a power outtage so went down to the park.

It is cooling within the compound because of the buidling surrounding it. The Bernoulli Effect made it windy. Later i'll do a sketch on the Break Glass picture. I dont have photoshop here. Spent the night watching Van Wilder: Party Liaison..stupid and funny show.
Monday Soo had to do his English Placement Exams so got up and the uncle dropped us off in front of Sunway Pyramid.Went to eat at the shop beside of Sunway Pyramid and it is EXPENSIVE for a Wanton Mee.Look at the picture..it's called Wanton Mee but it has only ONE wanton inside..for RM6 lagi tu.
The One Academy was situated a few lots down the block. The English Placement Exam is equavalent to Primary 6 test.

e.g:What is that girl?
A.She is a student
B.It is a student
C:It's a girl
D:She is a student girl
Hmm..now what is the answer for that? Issit D? Nahh

2 hours long to finish primary 6 questions and an essay of Importance of English.
The only hard question is Connect 9 dots with 3 straight lines without lifting the pencil.
We were cracking our heads open trying to figure out this question. In the end we just left it blank.The answer is actually

After the placement test went to Ikea to check out furniture.
The place is better than any furniture store i have ever seen. The whole concept of
showing how the furniture goes together really cactches people's attention.

Went to eat at the Swedish restuarant in IKEA. The food is pricey and the portion is small.

Evening went to Sungei Wang to shop.That place is lala paradise with all kinds of clothes you only see in the anime. Almost everyone's hair was like the Anime and lotsa cheap clothes. Went around the place around and around at every shop there but couldnt find anything that suits me.

Trivia:
KL has a flyover fetish. Everywhere there is a new Flyover coming up and KK takes 2 years just to complete 3.

I saw this video about 2 years ago on DVD around December at my cousin's house. It was entitled "Jeremy Clarkson's Heaven and Hell". It talked about the best cars of the year and also the worst cars of the year.

Not surprisingly, The Perodua Kelisa made it into one of the world's worst manufactured cars. At first all I thought was him ranting out his disappointment at the piece of junk... and then it got real funny. He hung the car a few metres into the air suspending a tonne of weight and later exploding the car with dynamite sticks doing it the Clarkson way.

But sadly, i have already come to terms with reality and give in to the fact that my first car would be a Kelisa and NOT a Mercedes Brabus . What a sad day is it when the hopes and dreams of a little boy is crushed by cruel reality. O how cruel thou art on me! For shame! tsk tsk tsk

Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson has come under attack in the Malaysian parliament for labelling one of the country's cars the worst in the world.
The BBC presenter has been filmed attacking the Perodua Kelisa with a sledgehammer before blowing it up.

But minister Abdul Raman Suliman defended the nation's car industry, saying Mr Clarkson was like a football commentator who cannot play football.

Perodua had not received a single complaint from UK owners, he told MPs.

He added that the comments were made merely to boost sales of the Top Gear magazine.

'Soulless'

Mr Clarkson has voiced his frustrations with the small three-cylinder model in both magazine articles and on film.

In one article, he said its name was like a disease and suggested it was built in jungles by people who wear leaves for shoes.

And in a DVD car review, he described it as "unimaginative junk, with no soul, no flair and no passion".

He then smashed it, hung it from a crane with a one-tonne weight attached, before blowing it up.

Perodua is Malaysia's second national carmaker and began producing small compact models in 1995.

Memo# 18 : One Way Ticket to Rediscovering Myself

Confirm I'm flying off to Kuala Lumpur on the 14th of March a.k.a White Day

I ran out of fresh clothes and am forced to wash all 15 shirts I just throw into the laundry bag after using them. It is tiring since I have to handwash all of them.

My trip is a one way ticket until I know for sure what I plan to do with the rest of my life.
No returning to Borneo unless I find my purpose in life or I get bored.
With nothing but the clothes in my bag, the laptop and my mp3 player, I will travel around as a vagabond in the unknown metropolis known as K.L.

If it ends up well, I'll be back before May

And I am hooked on a new game after Ragnarok Online ended for me
It's Trickster Online
It's similar to R.O but you have to choose your job early game when you create your character.
The levelling is a bit slower and you don't change jobs until you're level 50.
You have to purchase cards to learn new skills and so far weapons are limited.
That means that when you choose your character from the beginning, you're stuck with that type of character build or whether you can change it I'm still not sure.

It's fresh and it's been ages since I played an MMORPG so I think i'll play this 99 before I head to college.

Now the question is :
Which College should I Go?

Memo# 17 : Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday is the time when Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead and ascended into heaven. Woke up around 7.30am to get ready to go church when I found out there was no water.
This is the second day there was not enough water pressure to bring the water upstairs. I had no choice but to bath downstairs through the pipe.

Today's Easter Celebration was ruined by faulty the PA system. The priest was somebody I've never seen before.

In the afternoon went to Papar to pay my grandparents an Easter visit until around 2pm then to Tanjung Aru for lunch. I planned to watch movie with Sean at 4.45pm and it was already 3pm.
Went home .. got ready and went out to pick Soo up.We got there at 4.40pm .. 5 minutes before the movie started =.="

The guys were Sean(white), Vince(Filipino), Daniel (Indian) , Soo(Chinese) and I (kadazan)
Now this is UNITY .

Yesterday was about Honour
Today is about justice

It's those old kind of movie where one man takes on the bad guys. Just like Die Hard Trilogy.
It starts in Ethiopia about a Sniper, Bob Lee Swagger, and his friend under the US government sniping out enemy infantries. He is left for dead after their mission is complete by the very agency they were working for and his friend is killed.

Fast forward to 3 years later. He is living in the mountains with his dog when government personnel come looking for him to ask for his help on stopping a presidential assassination.

But later on he is betrayed and runs into hiding to plan his revenge. With no one by his side except his dead friend's girlfriend and an FBI agent, Memphis, who investigates by himself and finds reasons to doubt that Swagger was behind the assassination attempt.

It's a large government conspiracy where the powers in control is trying to silence Swagger because he was involved in Ethiopia. It's a good show really.
It's fast paced and doesn't drag on with unnessesary stuff. The action scene and one man masacre is just great and there wasn't much cheesy lines I could remember

It has the same *Hero walking away from a house before it explodes killing off the enemies inside* scene ... I give it a 4/5 .. YEAH...that's how much I liked Shooter

I'm with stupid

The movie was around 2 hours 5 minutes and after it finished we took a cab straight to Damai, Pizza Hut to book seats for Soo's party.

There was around 18 people and everyone was split.
There was enough food to go around.
Atmosphere was lively since everyone only sticked to their own group so we could just openly talk without caring much of others since they too were busy

Before anyone came, they served 3 plates with 20 breadsticks
If the staff asked why there were only breadsticks
" We love our breadsticks

The 4 of us La Salle folks had a good time nonetheless.. Mostly we just talked crap and about how we will end up in the future plus a little Arang bashing which never seems to get old.
There's always something to say.

Seems life outside the class only leaves 4 of us. Before in class we 4 were tight but luckily it seems even after school has ended .. the bond never breaks
5 Years down our lives , we plan to meet up again and this time with our girlfriends? ..ahahaha
Time really does fly. It's already April and soon everyone will go different sides of Malaysia
Kwong got everyone laughing after he took out his Limited Edition RM500 from his wallet.
He didn't have any money at ALL except for this.
Even the paper felt real. Like those RM5 bills and the signature was almost perfect
Truly a work of art.

The whole evening just hanging with friends is a good way to bond plus free food makes it perfect. Ong cut his hair short.

I am again exhausted being out the whole day from 8am till 9.30pm with no time to rest.
Saturday -still not yet confirm- flying off to KL for 2 weeks to do some business before I set my future in 1 direction. Time to have my well deserved sleep!!!

Memo# 16 : Toilet Paper 20 cent!!

I am exhausted.

After an inactive weekday, I crammed everything into this one Saturday.

After painstaking discussions on Saturday's barbecue with less than enthusiastic friends, today went well despite only 3 out of our former group members were present

As you can see, there are only 3 of us excluding Soo who brought his own classmates.

Sure.. each year we find new ways of improving our barbecue to ensure quality and food remains sandless unlike our first time

2 years ago, we thought the beach provided a place to put our food. We found it out the hard way and had to eat sand covered chicken wings.

But that didn't stop us. We learnt from our mistakes and used a metal wok to put our food.

This year just didn't feel the same.
Most of them were either busy working , in National Service or already have plans for that day.
The spirit and tradition must live on if even through 3 people.

We were supposed to go Kwong's house to play basketball before 8am.
But Ong got up late and I was picking him up. So we only reach there at 8am. Didn't leave us much time to shoot some hoops so went straight to the beach to find Soo.

We tried to get the coal heating at around 8.30am
Only around 9.15am it started getting hot and generating enough heat to cook the food.

There was more smoke than heat. 8 firestarters and not even a decent fire to cook raw meat like chicken wings though sausages only needed thawing.
Soo's group ended up at the other end of the beach so he went there to get them.Got a little bit of heat going so we just cooked some sausages and satays for Kong.
Kong had to leave at 9.30am to meet up with his girlfriend so he ended up only staying for
1 1/2hours .

That left us with 3 of us to 7 of them ..
After I came back from sending off Kong, they merged 2 groups into 1
Our sad little wok was cast aside for a real barbecue pit with airholes beneath to allow combustion.

You could see the coal literally burning red.
But soon afterwards the coal died out and the next round of food wasn't cooked properly.

They tried to restart the fire using coconut husk.
Tearing up the husk and burning it.

Surprisingly the husk burnt slowly and created enough heat to burn the charcoal and get the fire starting again.Around 12pm it was getting hot and planned to go swimming around 4pm in the evening.
But since we had much time to kill, I dropped Kwong at Ong's place and went home to sleep.

Around 4pm I went to pick up Kwong and Ong and on the way pick up Kew and Ng at Kew's house.
Seriously, these guys keep me distracted from driving.

Went to Likas Sports Complex Swimming Pool. The entrance fee was RM5 and RM2 for students.
No one wanted to go into the pool first. Ong doesn't have muscle on his legs. They're so slim and slender.. just like a girl's.
Kwong wore a PINK swimtrunks.. now that's just gay.
Too bad I forgot to bring my camera.

Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. That means I have to get up early again.

Finally!! The Professional Photograph is out after waiting for 2 weeks.

When I reach there, the guys were at Bahamut Portal playing DotA
Ng actually played DotA..omgWe went to collect the pictures from the studio then later go Coffee Bean to burn it and distribute it to everyone who was there.
I am broke going out almost everyday this whole week. Reluctantly handing over the money for a Mocha Regular, White Chocolate and Ultimate that costs a small fortune
My Memory card got stuck in Ng's laptop after he thought my MMC could work with his MMC slot. I didnt tell him that I had the adoptor. We had to turn the laptop on its side and shake it vigorously to get it out watched by Ng in dismay.
Google Earth.. nothing to do really. Just looking at the photographs
The total pictures cost RM120 with the negatives at RM20. Well it was more of a lifetime investment as to remind us of past relationships with friends that can be exploited if one of them becomes rich.
I can truly say this has been a good plan. I have done many things like proposing and designing the Class T-Shirts , creating the forum and organising annual beach barbecue to try an emulate other school's activities.

The end result is a professionally done group photo that will last for much longer than some SPM result. This past 2 years in La Salle and the forming of the Leven ( once known as MCA) have brought us closer as friends though bitter times and squabbles do occur, we face them with an open mind.

Soon we wont even contact each other as we will persue our tertiery education separately and maybe decades down the line we will meet up at Coffee Bean as we did back in our High School days to have a drink and just talk crap as we used to during class lessons.
After 2 hours at Coffee Bean, we went to send Ng home and then go S.T.A.R

The guy didn't let us claim the snacks later since it was only 8 and the movie was at 9.20pm
Dude said it would be difficult if there was a crowd later.

Walk to Centre Point to eat at Pizza Hut after talking about the history of Pizza Hut.
The staff was very rude and didn't have waiter etiquette. Standing up like no back bone and an English idiot. He uttered the phrase " Hello , Good Night" .. i was like..err..dude..im gonna have my meal..not sleep.. Idiot.. He meant was "Good evening" which is a greeting equivalent to "Good Afternoon" ..but somehow he failed his English.

The food was damn slow so had to tapau . I just had my dinner and am being overfed by chio chaboh who kept passing her food to me
(soup, half the pizza and pizza crust!)

We paid exactly the amount because the movie was about to start and we still had to walk back.

In the cinema, I was aghast at the movie appetizers. Somehow someone hijacked the studio and forced us to watch a Mickey Mouse cartoon from the 70's.

It was about Mickey and his gay friends fixing a D.I.Y boat for God know's what reason. Well, its an old clip so the scenes were very clichè. My friend exclaimed very loudly that Goofy was very hamsap when he kissed the mermaid statue.Some people in front even went out to check whether they were in the right movie or not. 15 minutes wasted and the real show finally started.. at 9.40pm!

MEET THE ROBINSONS REVIEW

It's a typical kid's movie about looking at the brighter side of life and being positive.
It starts with an orphan boy being left by his mother. No body wants to adopt him because..well..he's weird. He's smart for his age but looks at the bad side of everything.

The only aspect of the show that disturbs me is the time paradox that occurs. For instance, if bowler hat man destroyed Lewis' future..that would mean he wouldnt have invented the time machine in the first place..which would make bowler hat man unable to travel back in time to disrupt Lewis' future which WOULD mean he still would have grown up to be successful..which would repeat the whole process again.

I give it a 4/5 for an animation.

After the movie we went to Sutera Harbour JUGs to check it out. Kinda crowded with lotsa Ang Mo Lang..too smoky lerr..I prefer fresh air.
Ladies night so free drinks. Btw i dont drink..and I dont dance..and I dont smoke..so that leaves me..err..standing by the entrance..ahahaha

"Why would you wanna get tied down to a relationship in secondary school when there are other sets of girls in University."

The question lies with the court , " Is it wise to hold off all relationship encounters until reaching adulthood? "

For we all learn from experience. Good and bad experiences mould us slowly into truly appreciating the true nature of love. Teenagers misinterpret relationships as a social conquest to gain popularity or infamous notoriety often coming out as "The Perfect Match" or "Unattainable Greek-God", while others date just to pass time or overcome boredom.

Superficial things such as being a good kisser or a goddess/god in bed too is often seen in young teenage relationships. It is NOT that starting a relationship young is wrong. It only leads to different definitions of true love, be it emotional support, financial support or even great sex.

For me the question whether dating to gain experience so that one's own future love life will be better handled with experienced gained through trial and error, is not so much as in an answer of to support or to deny it. But more towards how the experience was gained, through real sincerity in trying to please the hearts of others but ending up in failure or just to have a good time.

Well who am I to preach. Just my 2 cents worth.

Today I went to Soo's house just to play computer games.
Woke up at 7am , got ready and went there.. just to have him sleep syok syok until 9am
Luckily some game called "Rise of Nations" was switched on on his laptop. So I started playing the game albeit miserably, getting killed by stupid pirates.
The game is about building civilization from scratch with the basic foundations for civilizations such as a temple of worship, town centre and food supplies provided entertainment while the giant slept.

I got used to the interface after the 2nd round. One scene even reminded my of "300" with the Hero does a battle growl followed by roaring of Spartans that make them invincible for a while.
There was even one mountain with a valley that lead to the enemies base. I replicated the scene by stuffing 300 (could only fit 200 though) men into the Gate of the Mountain and luring them to be killed.

The rest of the game was played by using cheat codes to get Godlike powers such as summoning the dead, dragons, tornadoes, earthquakes, heavenly wrath(meteors), and even turning enemies into pigs.

After having a melt down on filling up all the annoying scholarships that require stupid information that makes me get a headache, i sought professional help in the form of a hot chick.

So I went to Coffee Bean to fill up the forms at 2.30pm. Atmosphere there better to concentrate and relax. Plus all facilities needed are nearby like photocopying and stationaries. Oso there got free WiFi and can muk TTSS fo.

Mostly spent the time chatting and checking people's friendter for no reason at all. The staff were looking at us one kind... or so I think so..

The Butter Chicken is actually made by frying the butter with eggs until it becomes thin and crispy. They fry that 1 week before they serve it to customers. Keep it in a container and refridgerate it until someone orders it. They just take normal chicken and sprinkle the fried butter on the chicken and reheat in microwave.

Yesterday was the Majlis Anugerah Kecemerlangan. This is a short post with a lot of pictures.
Russel and Keith came back today just to attend the ceremony. They required that I dress formally with slacks and tie. Which is something I'm not used to wearing.

It was fun meeting them after 3 months. Sean dressed like a fag with white confirmation shirt and blue slacks wearing converse blue shoes.

Memo# 10: Mall Hopping and a Review

Got up not as usual at 7.ooam today.

Went with Soo to watch a movie for no other reason than to leave the house.
It's a Wednesday so movie tickets are cheaper. We planned to watch Stranger than Fiction, a movie i hear being praised everywhere.

Took the bus to Karamunsing to send his some CD to reboot his computer.Since he called the shop and found out it only opened at 11 ( they opened half and hour later though) we had breakfast first. Went around 3 floors looking for the coffee shop. Karamunsing really has changed with more space and I just kinda got lost.So we went to 美食 Restaurant because I like the Kuching Kon Lau mee there. Soo wanted to eat Japanese Food...in the morning!!!

It was RM3.50 per plate to drop of which to me is more worth it than JAPANESE FOOD~!!!!! After breakfast gave the CD and walked to Centre Point to catch the movie at 12pm
Walk through Asia City Complex just to cool down and we still made it for the movie.

REVIEW of STRANGER THAN FICTION

Harold Crick isn't ready to go. Period.

When I first saw the trailer for this movie last year. I was sceptical. Most movie trailers give u a rough imagination of what the show would be about. But after watching the trailer. It gave me..nothing. I didn't have the slightest idea what the movie was about nor did it give me an impression to watch it. So after reading about this movie from other people. I decided to give it a try.

It starts out with an auditor with a seemingly boring and predictable job. The movie starts out with a narrator telling out his life's process and his thoughts until one day when he wakes up and brushes his teeth, he actually hears the narrator speaking. He becomes increasingly distracted with the narrator that it throws his whole life out of balance.

He hears the narrator say that he will be killed off so he tries to find help to figure out what is going on and ends up with a professor who is a pro at stories. He falls in love with a baker whom he was auditing and later starts living life that normally he wouldn't do such as playing the guitar or having a relationship with the baker lady.

While on the other end, the author who was writing the story about Harold Crick's life is having writer's block on how to kill her character's life.

In the end Harold meets the author and she is shocked to find out her character in the story is a real person. He persuades her not to kill him but the professor said he must be killed because it is her best masterpiece ever.

In the end.. it was quite a predictable ending but all in all I would say it's an above average movie. Very good plot and characters. I only felt the love relationship between Harold and Ana wasn't completely elaborated.

We went around CP looking for a shirt to wear for the Award Giving Ceremony on Saturday but since I'm broke,better just look around. For lunch, I decided to try Sean's drinking place called The Joint .It's in Api-Api centre somewhere in the middle.The food is not very expensive and they serve Sisha for RM10 (not like i smoke that stuff..Soo only enquired) and a Foosball machine.

Walked across to Asia City Complex and just roamed around looking for new things that were open..seems nothing much yet.
I dared Soo to walk up a sky bridge that is linking across a 6 lane street but since it was blocked..there must be something exciting like a hole or a broken railing up there..haha..when go up there..only got broken roof one...haha..nothing dangerous..
Then go back all the way back to Karamunsing to take back his laptop and just looked around the new extension until I went home.

Tomorrow morning have to wake up early again just to go school..haih...hahaha..

They even stated that pelajar adalah WAJIB menghadiri raptai itu.
So are they implying that you MUST be there this Thursday so they can lecture the importance of taking your certificate with short hair for a time not exceeding 2 hours with no newspaper coverage and no important (in my book) guest like the Chef Minister of Sabah?

Memo# 6 : SuperStars

Yesterday our group went for our photography session.
We had planned this since before our SPM examinations started.

It was supposed to be after Chinese New Year and before some friends went for their National Service which is this Sunday.
So we didn't default on our plan and I had scheduled our session 1 week in advance after I got my driver's licence.

Yesterday it was pouring heavily and some of us where pretty unsure whether to postpone or to go. Had to pick up Ong and Ken and Lintas was jammed so badly had to take another route.
Lucky i scheduled at 6.30pm or it would have been chaotic rushing there.

We gathered at Yoyo. 11 of us all wearing like we were going to a concert or something. People kept staring at us..haha

Went to the studio beside of Yoyo which is called Sweet Memories 甜蜜蜜 and planned it out with the photographer. Everyone was grooming themselves in front of the big mirror. The staff there are friendly and funny.. easy to talk to

He was a friendly and patient person
He didnt rush us at all. He let us experiment with different poses and also let us joke around playing with the props around the studio like the Samurai Katana.

Luckily they had enough black coats to go around. We did the whole Hong Kong Mafia theme
黑社会 and also the whole cute theme. We did a lot of takes and coined Ong the NG king cause' he kept screwing up.What started as i thought would be a 1/2 hour session turned into a
1 1/2 hour thing. We started at 6.30pm and only ended at around 8 right before they closed shop. The whole experience was worth it. It was very fun acting like Superstars having a professional photographer.

After that we went for dinner at Tai Meng for Hokkien Mee and Salad Chicken Rice
Some of us went home after that but the others went to stay over at Elson's house.

Today we went to Damai to see the negatives and choose the 3 best pictures.
I drove to Damai and met them at Yoyo. The guys were already there looking at the pictures.
There were around 25-30 pictures so we had to choose the best which was really hard.

It cost us RM30 per picture so actually we decided to do 3 pictures only.
But today after we went to see the unedited pictures, we took a fourth picture because it rocked.
Cost us altogther RM140 including 4 negatives priced at RM5 each

So..after that we went back to the Studio to explain what we wanted and later went off to BP to DotA.. Im getting sick of losing at DotA..just to lazy to improve my skills after not playing for over 5 months. DotA just isnt fun when so many people start getting angry over little things unlike back then when we still had fun defending even though we were losing.

The pictures should be done in 2 weeks time. The edited pictures I will post here when I get them. I hope it comes out nice..

P/S- can someone think of a name for the group? I'm sick of MCA the teacher gave us in Form 4

So, it was reported in the SinChew daily that Malaysian Minister for Tourism, Tengku Adnan provoked women bloggers during International Womens Day nevertheless.

Memo# 4 : Stupid Ideas by Ministry

Ok..i had this beef with what the gahmen was trying to come up with a few months ago.. and that's the Yourkad if any of you remember.
The whole catch was the YourKad would be given to tourist who visited Malaysia such as how the MyKad functions. The YourKad would include the visitor's ID,picture,Passport,skin colour and even THEIR INCOME.

The whole having their income thing just didnt make sense. I read testimonials stating that the income stated there would allow shop owners to spot out the rich customers and reject the less loaded ones. The whole thing stinks of discrimination..which i might add is a specialty of our Bolehland.
They even have the audacity to suggest a scanner that if a YourKad holder with less money enters the shop, they would give the customers less service compared to someone with more income.

THAT IS JUST DAMN FUCKING RETARDED!!!

After that statement, people started to complain.
And being the stupid politicians they are, lashed out against the critics and said "The YourKad will be put under the O.S.A (Official Security Act) and it's use will be hidden and nobody can reveal it.

But I digressed
That is the last straw.. the O.S.A is supposed to be used to protect secret documents that threatens national security.. The racoons running the Tourism Ministry are just getting more and more dumber.

O ya..back to my point..
Since the YourKad is supposed to show a level of professionalisme to different income groups.. Malaysians themselves are the cheapest kind.

Well yesterday i read the newspaper.
Immigration departments were targeting women tourist from China and harassing them because they think all chinese women come here to be involved with vice. The Immigration and police stop chinese women and ask for their passports..even as far as detaining them for 3 days albeit valid documents to show they weren't overstaying.
We have thieves working in the ACA and crooks in our departments

*This is a late post from monday after i got my SPM results because i havent uploaded my pictures yet*

SPM is out today..OMG..OMG..

Left early in the morning to meet my friends for breakfast before we take our SPM results..
Still early around 8.50 and dunno wat to eat larr..
Kwong suggested this place next to Sunny Supermarket because the breakfast special there is only RM2.00

RM2.00!!!! Unbelievable!!! Definitely got catch one!! Hahahaha... Lee just couldnt believe his ears..
So went there lar..nobody 1.. went inside
like 5 Star club man.. Didn't take pictures of the interior coz takut the waiter bash me..might be a vice club remember xD

The guard showed us the way to the Cafe upstairs
Looks more like some vice place with the babes wearing minis.. xD

The cafe..called Cruise Cafe veli chio man!! Interior got 5 Star dining experience with wine rack and sui furniture. And the food there really RM2.00 horr..but only 3 dishes lar..
But counted as cheap liao coz got coffee or tea again. laughing to himself again..*sign*

When i opened the box..it was some psychotic looking Blood RED piggy bank with its mouth wide open in the shape of a PIG!! Freaked me out
Needless to say..i donated the gifts to my school
I gave the turtle to the Biology teacher..hahahaha...science class will be a LOT more interesting
from now on..hehehe
And the Fugly looking gift to my Physics teacher who says she will give it to her daughter..hahaha...actually i thought she would at least open it up and see..
And i stuck her sticker photo onto a wall in school..

Our group splitted into 2
Kong and his group wanted to watch the cantonese comedy called Wonderful Life which my friends said was boring
And my group -led by me- wanted to watch 300

We took the bus to GSC to watch 300 but GSC only started at 2.35pm
So we opted to try Mega Pavillion

The movie there was 1.45pm so we bought burgers and went to a 7/11 concept store called Orange to buy drinking water.

Wat spoiles the movie is always the ending..if the ending sucks i will have the impression that the whole thing sucks..
But actually horr..the movie veli good one wor..
the only thing unbelievable was after slicing over 30 people and their blood was spraying all over the place.. the ground was not even covered with blood nor where their Greek-godlike bodies splattered with blood

The censorship was minimal and there were even little bits not for kiddies to watch..

After the movie we went to find the other group in KK Plaza.
Seems they didnt see their movie because it was too late so all they did was play at the arcade..
Lucky didnt join them in the beginning..

Memo# 2 :Serenity and calmness

Been so busy out and about today... lucky i got time to even blog

Today mass was in a different shade... of P-U-R-P-L-E
Went to my grandparents house to give them the old computer

Life is never dull in the village
I really think ALL old people should at move to the kampungs and stay there.
What is the point of growing old sitting in front of the TV watching crap like Astro Ria.
It is at the kampungs that they breathe fresh air.. my granddad's house doesnt even have a decent tv set. Cant even receive TV 3 and NTV7..its just RTM.

So..they do more productive things like gardening and keep an orchard [that's a planting of trees or shrubs maintained for food production (source:Wiki - i dun knw how to explain it myself)]

It's the ultimate gym.. fitness while growing old
Stay fit and eat healthy with chickens they rear and vegetables they plant.
They even make their own liquor . It's called Lihing or distilled rice wine. It smells as strong as thinner but taste sweet unlike the wine which is sour.

So after that I drove to Travellers Inn at Kinarut to have tea. That place is nice with all the sea breeze and little chalets surrounding the little land. It's just nice to go there and enjoy the sea breeze while eating fish&chips and drinking Chocolate Milkshakes.

Supposed to go watch 300 tonite but no transport out. Haha.. Would be nice to see an old friend after 3 months in NS. Wonder whether he has a 6pack or not..hahahaha...MUST see!!

Tomorrow SPM results come out!!! OMG lar.. how can..pressure mounting..

Ha ha ha...im opening a new blog just for fun..

Monday SPM results are coming out and i am damn nervous
Of course being the only non-chinese in a family of chinese tuk su zhai really puts a lot of pressure on me. I am not your ordinary study freak who can stand sitting awake for more than 1 hour.

I have never been blessed by the ability to remember certain things like people's names and homework. But though given the disability i do have 1 ability , and that is to remember pictures.
I have a semi photographic memory. So while reading a book i dont really remember what it says but more of what it looks like. Ha Ha..sounds absurd doesnt it. Strange but true. I remember what the page looks like and what information was stored there before.. cibai liddat oso can

Ok..so finally..
after 3 months of waiting.. i finally got my P drivers licence
Today is the first time i drove the Mitsubishi Storm and i felt GODLIKE!!
It aint like your pussy-of-an iswara but a damn powerful and scary Godzilla.

Of course the down side is I was practically blind. The car is long and I can't see the back.
But with power comes great responsibility. I'll get used to that before i get the Prado Grande.

After reaching Damai, accompanied Soo to cut hair at K-Avenue and later hitch a ride on his girlfriend's mom's car to CP too see the education fair at Hyatt and the UiTM fair at Palm Square. Nothing much to buy larr coz they all suck. Can't even find a decent unique un-ugly shirt in KK anymore.

Evening horr met my Yap,Lee and Chu at Damai..
just talked a little and walked a little. Great to see those guys again!!
